Cameron Brink, a WNBA rookie, took the mound on Monday night. She threw the first pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers. She did so, boasting some stylish footwear.

The forward for the Los Angeles Sparks and no. 2 WNBA Draft pick, sported Jack Harlow’s unreleased New Balance 1906R collaboration. She was joined by her teammate, Rickea Johnson. This upcoming sneaker is Harlow's first collaboration with New Balance. Brink has been signed with New Balance since 2023. She started with an NIL deal, becoming its inaugural women’s basketball endorser.

Harlow has had a partnership with New Balance since 2022. He is an ambassador for the brand. Later that year, the rapper performed at the Boston Track facility's opening.

The 1906R has rapidly gained popularity since New Balance reintroduced it in 2022. Its first version, called the 1906, was released in 2009 without the "R". The model's popularity surged, thanks to a rise in interest in the brand and 2000s running shoes, often called "dad shoes". This led to the 1906R's return with slight contemporary tweaks. Its sole unit was reused in the redesigned 2002R. The NB 2002R has now become one of New Balance's most sought-after models.

The 1906R notably incorporates its “N” logo into the lacing system. It has a mix of suede, synthetic leather, and mesh, which are typical in this trend. Harlow's version features a purple floral print as the shoe's base. The same shade is used for reflective synthetic overlays. The laces and tongue are made of velvet, capturing a "grandma's house" vibe. The heel stabilizer and sole are designed in a forest green color.

Harlow unveiled his 1906R on Instagram in May. However, New Balance has announced that the official release is not until the fall.
