Over the past year, the adidas Campus has experienced a partial rejuvenation, gaining popularity on TikTok and collaborating with Korn. Although it was not included in Jerry Lorenzo's first adidas x Fear of God collection, this iconic silhouette from the early 1970s has found a new partnership with Highsnobiety, a fashion and culture platform, in a collaborative project with the renowned German sportswear brand.
Drawing inspiration from the minimalist concept of a blank canvas, Highsnobiety presents a fresh interpretation of the low-top court sneaker. The design revolves around a combination of different materials, including suede, canvas, and nubuck, resulting in a unique and textured upper.
Intricate details such as embroidered eyelets and frayed edges add a rugged and fashionable touch to the silhouette. The mid-foot overlay is adorned with a warm "Chalk White" color, while pockets of "White Tin" nubuck can be found on the vamp and profile 3-Stripes. The suede heel tab and quarter provide a subtle grayscale contrast, and the sole unit completes the look with a cream-colored finish. The collaboration is marked by the debossed adidas and HS logos on the tumbled leather tongue and heel.
