Crafted from the untamed landscapes nestled among the peaks of Marin County, California, Levi's emerged as the ultimate choice for avid mountain bikers in the 1970s, showcasing both enduring resilience and a stylish aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from the fearless pioneers of yesteryears, the Levi's x New Balance 580 collection pays tribute to the rich heritage of mountain biking culture and the timeless bicycles that defined a bygone era.
At the beginning of the year, the RollBar-assisted silhouette made a well-timed comeback, showcasing its trail-ready design with a slimmer toe box and lowered collar construction. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of Levi's 501 jeans, each pair is crafted with the brand's premium Shrink-To-Fit denim on the vamp and collar. Available in two colorways, this silhouette from 1996 distinguishes the first version with a sleek greyscale nubuck upper and a blacked-out sole unit, while the second version features a "Cream" white palette with a hairy suede upper. Both pairs are adorned with classic crimson red Levi's hang tags and accentuated with bright blue and bubblegum pink shades.
Levi's will release the Levi's x New Balance MT580 collection on December 6th, with a wider release at New Balance scheduled for December 7th.
