Photographs of the highly anticipated 2024 release of the "Eggplant" Foams have recently emerged. Nike's renowned Air Foamposite One, a beloved sneaker from the late 2000s, makes a triumphant comeback with its original design intact. However, there's a notable addition: the outsoles now boast an icy coating, crafted to prevent the unsightly yellowing that often occurs over time.
Throughout 2023, the Nike Air Foamposite One has embraced nostalgia, with the reintroduction of Penny Hardaway’s PE and a wider range of color combinations inspired by the past. In 2024, the iconic “Galaxy” colorway will make a comeback, along with the iridescent “Eggplant” scheme from 2009, which draws inspiration from the shell of a beetle.
Returning for its third iteration, the popular model endorsed by Hardaway commemorates its 20th anniversary in 2017. The iconic all-black design remains unchanged, with jet-black hues dominating the nubuck and mesh components on the tongue, lining, and quarter overlay. Additionally, accents of "Varsity Purple" adorn the pull tabs, tongue accents, and embroidered Swooshes. The outsole features an icy blue pattern, contrasting with the violet shell of the upper, which boasts a signature pearly sheen.
During the SNKRS Showcase on October 26th, it was officially announced that the highly anticipated "Eggplant" Foams will be hitting the market on 2024 January 17th. Fans can get their hands on these iconic sneakers for a retail price of $240 USD.
Just as ShoesClub reported before, the Nike Air Foamposite One "Anthracite" was set to drop on December 12th.
