Nike is dedicated to creating footwear that is sourced in a more sustainable way. Their Air Force 1 model is at the forefront of the brand's efforts under the Next Nature initiative.
This shoe, designed by Bruce Kilgore, is made up of at least 20 percent recycled materials. In addition to its eco-friendly construction, the Air Force 1 also showcases a new, understated color option.
The Air Force 1 is widely known for its use of split color blockings. Upon first glance, the upper of the shoe reveals a combination of blank white and light grey tumbled leather panels.
The white mudguard, quarter, and heel overlay contrast with the grey panels found at the mid-foot and vamp. Adding to the visual appeal, the profile swooshes, heel tabs, and outsoles are a darker shade from the greyscale color wheel.
The standout feature, however, is the vibrant marigold branded embellishments. Completing the shoe's design is a "Sail" treated midsole, which gives the overall neutral-dominant look a vintage finish.
The release date for the Nike Air Force 1 Low Next Nature "Grey/Sail/Yellow" is still unknown, but we can admire the pair in intricate images in this article.
