Nike Kobe 8 Protro PEs Sent to Duke Basketball

In September, Vanessa Bryant introduced the Nike Mamba Program, which features six NCAA basketball programs receiving exclusive colorways of Kobe Bryant's Protro footwear. The Duke Women's Basketball team, along with UConn, LSU, Oregon, USC, and Kentucky, recently presented a pair of Nike Kobe 8 Protros.

The classic low-top design, widely recognized as one of Bryant's top signature shoes, takes inspiration from LSU's team colors. In a unique twist, this version showcases two distinct shades that are synonymous with Duke University, creating a captivating home and away ensemble. Embracing a minimalist approach, the primary color used is the renowned Duke Blue, which extends from the mesh upper to the Lunarlon-infused midsole. To enhance the visual appeal, jet-black accents highlight the tread and heel clip, concealing the pristine white Kobe sheath logo and profile swoosh.

The color scheme of the program's home edition reverses the position of the blue and white shades, with the upper and midsole being predominantly colorless while vibrant blue swooshes, inner lining, and heel logos add a pop of color. The Kobe 8 has been chosen as the initial Protro silhouette to be distributed to the six accompanying programs, with Baton Rouge being one of the locations.

Although we anticipate the program's expansion to include more of Bryant's iconic collection, we can currently admire the detailed images of the Kobe 8 "Duke" PEs in this article.

By the way, I want to remind that "Kobe Reverse Grinch" will be released on December 16th.
