Nike introduced one of its most revolutionary cushioning systems, Lunarlon Foam, in the early 2010s. This innovative technology has been incorporated into various shoe models, providing runners with a soft and comfortable experience. As Nike explores the current fascination with 2000s aesthetics, they have combined the lightweight foam with a modern design approach to create the Nike Lunar Roam.
The upper of this shoe is generously covered in engineered mesh, allowing for increased airflow at the middle and front sections. The forefoot features TPU panels that not only add a touch of nostalgia but also offer improved durability on top of the signature cushioning system. Speaking of which, the midsole's parallel serrations bring the chunky foam midsole to life, just as they did when it first made its appearance ten years ago.
With its engineered mesh base layer draped in a warm shade called "Alabaster," this shoe welcomes you with open arms. The mid-foot and heel come to life with a vibrant "Green Abyss" color, accentuated by sleek black lines and swooshes.
Adding a touch of Y2K aesthetics, the forefoot features symmetrical dark grey TPU mudguards that contrast with the creamy upper. Below, the renowned Lunarlon midsole stands out with a burst of color, as most of the tooling is dipped in a vibrant "Lemon Drop" hue, while the split heel boasts a luxurious "Saturn Gold" finish.
On December 16th, the Nike Lunar Roam will make its official debut, with a price tag of $150 USD. However, before its release, you can get a closer look at the pair through the detailed imagery in our article.
