Air Max Plus Drift Combined Yellow/Silver/Concord for 2024

While it may not enjoy the same level of acclaim as its predecessors, Sean McDowell's Nike Air Max Plus has undeniably played a significant part in the brand's legacy. With the sneaker celebrating its 25th anniversary, Nike is seizing the opportunity to honor its history by introducing fresh colorways of the classic shoe and unveiling the innovative Air Max Plus Drift.

According to Brendan Dunne of Complex, Nike is currently developing the Nike Air Max Plus Drift for release in the summer of 2024.

This new iteration of the Air Max Plus appears to retain the original design elements of the shoe's tooling, but with a fresh upper. The initial images of the successor to the Tuned Air model showcase a breathable mesh base, covered by a curved molded overlay that spans the entire length of the sneaker. While there is a clear connection between McDowell's original design from 25 years ago and the upcoming model, the Air Max Plus Drift distinguishes itself with thicker profile detailing reminiscent of palm trees. The Swoosh branding extends from the mid-foot to the heel, further setting apart this modern offering from its '90s predecessor.

The sole units of the new model closely resemble the first Tuned Air tooling, featuring whale tail-shaped shanks and rubber traction at the forefoot, but with updated finishes.

Prepare to witness the newest addition to the remarkable lineage of Tuned Air: a collection adorned in strikingly vivid gradients. Anticipate the arrival of vibrant shades such as neon yellow, Light Silver and Concord on the initial pairs.

The most attention-grabbing of the selection will be exclusively available through Nike's esteemed NBHD (short for "neighborhood") retail partners, as confirmed by Dunne. While specific release information may be subject to alteration, it is projected that these sneakers will grace store shelves from April 2024 onward.

The upcoming Air Max Plus Drift will carry a price tag of $185 USD, a slight increase of $10 compared to its regular Air Max Plus counterpart. As you eagerly anticipate its release on nike.com, take pleasure in browsing through retailer images showcasing a stylish beige variation.

By the way, Sean McDowell will release Nike Air Max Plus for kids version in the beginning of 2024, which is pitch-black.
