Angel Reese Sports Juneteenth-Themed Reebok in Victory Over Caitlin Clark

Angel Reese

Angel Reese, the rising star of the Chicago Sky, showcased her style on the court by wearing a unique pair of Reebok Solutions for her third matchup against Caitlin Clark. The sneakers were designed by Chicago-based artist Marvin Baroota, who has created several custom pairs for Reese throughout the season.

The Juneteenth-themed shoes featured a black and white base with accents in red, yellow, and green - colors commonly associated with the Pan-African movement. The mismatched toe graphics included a nod to the celebratory holiday. Jewels in the same vibrant hues were scattered across the sneaker, while a zig-zag pattern adorned the mudguard.

Reese's footwear choices have been a highlight of her season, with Baroota also designing custom Solutions for her previous two games against Clark and the Fever. For their first meeting, Reese sported a gradient pink pair inspired by Barbie and her "Bayou Barbie" moniker. In their second clash, she donned a pair with a Joker-themed design, seemingly embracing her role as Clark's on-court rival.

Throughout the 2023 season, Reebok has favored the Solution, a shoe based on Allen Iverson's iconic Question model, which made its debut last year.

Reese just made a deal with Reebok to have her name, image, and likeness featured. In a recent online video, she mentioned that Reebok will be creating a special sneaker just for her. In the Sky's narrow victory over the weekend, Reese had an impressive performance, scoring a career-best 25 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Her teammate Clark also had a strong showing, tallying 17 points and a franchise record of 13 assists. The Sky have lost to the Fever twice this season, but they have one more match-up scheduled for the end of August.
