LaMelo Ball's Puma line has expanded this season with the introduction of his new LaFrance lifestyle sneaker. Inspired by the nostalgic Y2K era, the initial all-red model will now be joined by two more versions in July.
The upcoming Puma LaFrance "Moment" and "Untouchable" sneakers are set to debut simultaneously, each with its own distinct design. The "Moment" iteration features a muted, predominantly cream colorway with subtle brown accents, while the "Untouchable" version embraces a bolder look with pops of pink throughout the black sneaker.
The La France "Moment" model maintains a relatively simple contrast, limited to the shoe's trim and branding on the heel and tongue. Flipping the shoe over reveals the words "Puma" and "La France" spelled out in brown on the otherwise cream-colored mismatched outsoles. In contrast, the "Untouchable" version utilizes more extensive color-blocking, incorporating pink on the inset oblong panels that help form the eyelets, as well as the same branding spots as its counterpart.
Both new variants of the LaFrance feature a leather construction, a departure from the patent leather used on the initial all-red "Amour" colorway. Taking inspiration from early 2000s skate shoes, the LaFrance's closest design resemblance is to the iconic Osiris D3 sneaker.
In a move to showcase his individuality, this rising star has launched his own fashion line. Initially, the NBA imposed restrictions, prohibiting the display of certain branding on his neck tattoo, citing league policies. However, after explaining the personal significance of the markings, he successfully obtained an exemption.
Now, Puma is set to unveil two exclusive sneaker models, the "Moment" and "Untouchable," on July 19. These will be available through Puma's official channels, including their website, mobile app, and flagship store in New York City, as well as select third-party retailers. The price point for these limited-edition kicks is set at $110.
