Having just provided support to Undermycar, atmos is now preparing to release its own collaboration with ASICS GEL-Kayano 14.
Having collaborated on numerous projects over the past twenty years, the Japanese sneaker boutique has established a close relationship with the sportswear giant. While their previous co-branded efforts have predominantly featured the GEL-Lyte III, atmos has proven their expertise in sneaker collaborations, working alongside top players in the industry.
The upcoming GEL-Kayano series, teased by Hirofumi Kojima, atmos' Head of Product, embraces a simple yet captivating color scheme of eggplant and pewter. While the latter shade has recently been seen on various retro ASICS styles, atmos introduces a refreshing twist with the inclusion of metallic purple.
Contrasting with the surroundings, the laces, tongue mesh, and inner-lining adopt a darker grey tone, while the GEL-assisted midsoles follow suit. Although Kojima's teaser shots do not reveal any co-branding, it is possible that additional angles will showcase the logos of both Japanese institutions coming together in harmony.
