INVINCIBLE and N.HOOLYWOOD, who have been working together for a long time, have joined forces once again to present their latest project under the "N" brand: the New Balance 1906U.
In a previous collaboration, the East Asian institutions took the standard NB 1906R and reimagined it as a "Grey Swan." Now, partnering with the North American powerhouse, INVINCIBLE and N. HOOLYWOOD have maintained a grayscale color palette for the latest version of the silhouette.
The new NB 1906U draws inspiration from utility, resulting in a technical New Balance that showcases a variety of materials on its upper. This reworked model appears to be lighter in weight while reinforcing certain panels that were previously mesh only.
With the addition of suede, toggle laces, and extra overlays around the forefoot, this sneaker stands apart from its predecessors. The Eastern collaborators have made minimal modifications, simply adding their names to the tongue and sockliner of the pair.
The special edition New Balance 1906U comes with two extra sets of laces and is packaged in a co-branded shoe box. Together, all of these elements contribute to the continued success of one of the Boston-based brand's modern favorites.
Get a sneak peek of the upcoming sneakers. There haven't been any official announcements regarding the release on newbalance.com, but that's bound to change early in 2024. The forthcoming collaboration between New Balance, INVINCIBLE, and N.HOOLYWOOD is anticipated to have a price tag of $185 USD.
