Nike Book 1 PE Salute to 1980s 'Metallic Purple' Air Jordan 1

Nike Book 1 PE on feet

As we eagerly anticipate the upcoming releases of the Nike Book 1 signature shoe, Devin Booker is generating continued excitement for his latest footwear creation. The basketball star is proudly showcasing exclusive designs that are sure to captivate both Nike enthusiasts and history buffs.

Devin pays homage to the iconic "Metallic Purple" Air Jordan 1 from the 1980s, adding to his collection that already includes nods to the Air Max 95 "Neon" and the Air Jordan 1 "Shattered Backboard".

While the original "Metallic Purple" AJ1 is a highly sought-after grail, it has been re-released twice, once with the Jumpman tongue label and once as a women's exclusive, although these were not true re-issues. Additionally, the "Metallic Purple" colorway was featured as part of the Air Jordan 4 "Metallic Pack" in 2020.

Devin Book's PE features a pristine white upper that blends a leather front and toe with a canvas-like fabric at the back, while a touch of purple adorns the swoosh and ankle collar. The finish is not exactly "Metallic", but rather a lustrous patent leather, though the source of inspiration remains evident.

Although this latest PE won't be available in stores, the Nike Book 1 in the "Ashen Slate" colorway is expected to be released shortly.
