During the Summer Nike World Basketball Festival, the renowned Beaverton brand introduced its Holiday 2023 lineup, showcasing a range of lifestyle shoes in the captivating shade of "Baroque Brown" and debuting the highly anticipated Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Reverse Grinch". As the gift-giving season draws near, Nike surprises us with one final present: the legendary Nike KD 3 "Christmas" edition.
Regarded as one of the most coveted color schemes in his extensive collection, the bright yellow ensemble first made its debut in August and has since been verified through official visuals. Originally released in 2010, the low-top design accompanied Kevin Durant on Christmas Day of that same year, during which he achieved an impressive 44-point score against the Denver Nuggets.
Similar to the previously released "All-Star" and upcoming "Aunt Pearl" iterations, the holiday-themed version of this silhouette remains faithful to the design of the original from the early 2010s.
The majority of the upper is composed of a sleek, high-quality leather that complements the shining finish of the Flywire construction in the forefoot. A vibrant shade of yellow covers nearly the entire silhouette, including the upper, tongue, inner lining, and the cushioning system. Accents of photo blue and team orange add pops of color to the swooshes, tongue tab, Flywire branding, and the video game controller buttons on the heel.
On December 19th, sneaker enthusiasts can anticipate the arrival of the Nike KD 3 Retro "Christmas" at a cost of $130 in Nike online store. Meanwhile, a closer look at this pair is available through a series of intricate images.
