Vanessa Bryant is working hard to keep her husband's memory alive. She recently revealed a new pair of "Girl Dad" sneakers. They are in honor of the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant. This is part of Vanessa's new collaboration with Nike.
Bryant posted about the special edition sneakers on Instagram. These sneakers are available just before Father's Day. They are colored olive green and have black laces. The iconic Nike swoosh logo is also in black. Kobe's signature features on the back of the shoes. His basketball number, 24, is showcased, too. "Girl Dad" is written in white script inside the shoe's tongue.
Bryant shared a caption with one of the shoe's posts. She wrote, "For our Most Valuable Girl Dad." She was referring to this Father's Day celebration of Kobe's dedication. His love for their daughters Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, and Capri is the sentiment behind it. This is reflected in the 'Kobe 4 Protro "Girl Dad"' shoe.

Earlier this month, Bryant paid tribute to her late daughter, Gigi. Gigi had died in a small plane crash with Kobe in January 2020. Bryant hosted a basketball camp to honor Gigi's 18th birthday.
On Saturday, May 4, Bryant, aged 42, shared a post on Instagram. She revealed that she and her family organized a basketball camp. The camp was for both girls and boys.

Bryant posted another montage video from the camp on Instagram. It was Sunday, May 5. In the video, she made a speech. She mentioned they were there to celebrate Gigi's 18th birthday. She expressed her happiness seeing everyone playing with joy and curiosity, like Gigi.
She further added to her speech. She mentioned that the children would receive gifts. The gifts included basketballs and new sneakers. The sneakers were the new Nike Kobe 8 Mambacita sneakers, also known as "Gianna's brand-new shoes."
