Over the course of recent years, the Jumpman banner has dedicated significant energy to breathe new life into the color options available for the Air Jordan 2, a shoe that first debuted in 1986. Despite not receiving the same level of attention from the wider community as some of its retro counterparts, the brand from Beaverton remains committed to making MJ's second signature shoe a focal point in 2024.
In the exclusive sneak peek shared by @fineline1721, we catch a glimpse of the upcoming reptile-inspired transformation of the Jordan 2 set to release in January.
The focal point of this design is a clean white leather upper, with the tongue and heel collar adopting a subdued, colorless treatment. To create a striking contrast, a deep, dark black hue adorns the tongue tab, inner lining, and tongue trim, extending to the distinctive serrated heel counter.
Adding a touch of boldness, a modest "University Red" logo graces the heel, while a gentle "Sail" infusion gracefully covers the midsole, laces, and eyestays. To complete the look, the iconic mid-foot overlay of the silhouette features a python snakeskin texture that beautifully matches the "Mauve" cured tread on the outsole.
Insiders in the sneaker world have revealed that the highly anticipated release of the Air Jordan 2 "Python" is scheduled for January 20th, 2024, with $175 retail price. In the meantime, eager fans can catch a glimpse of the pair in exclusive first-look visuals.
