Air Jordan 3 from Nina Chanel Abney to Be Released in June

Nina Chanel Abney, a renowned artist, has used Instagram to unveil her newest endeavor with Jordan Brand: a cooperative version of the Air Jordan 3.

Occurring nearly two years after Abney's initial encounter with the Jumpman for a pair of renditions on the Air Jordan 2, her interpretation of Michael Jordan's third signature shoe features a "Bicoastal/Black/Malachite/Fossil" color pattern and a canvas/suede build.

The collaboration's news initially emerged in January, when sneaker enthusiast Brandon1an disclosed the color palette, styling code and a potential June launch date. Abney substantiated these speculations last week with a sneak peek at the shoe's heel tab. Our comprehensive examination of the style, photographed by Tyler "Arab Lincoln" Mansour, reveals its principal features, which include a lush two-toned green canvas and suede cover, the aforementioned personalized heel tab, a bone-hued midsole, and an intriguing perspective on dimensions given by extra-thick rope laces on the pared-down tongue. Mansour's snapshot further displays the sleeve of a jacket stamped with "NCA 23", which hints that the release may be paired with exclusive clothing.

What appears to be a Jumpman logo crafted by Abney is present not only on the tongue, but also on the sock liner and an exclusive hangtag.

Another distinct feature is the chenille Nike Air emblem on the heel, which seems to have been created by Abney herself.

Completing the unveiling is an alternate pair of orange laces, a "NINA" shout-out on the inside of the right shoe's tongue, and a unique shoebox.

Keep an eye out for updates as the rumored launch date is June 20, with a retail price of $225 USD.
