During the Q4FY23 earnings call, Nike's CEO, John Donahoe, announced that the Kobe Brand would make a comeback on August 24th. Following this announcement, there have been speculations about the return of several Kobe Bryant-inspired products, such as the Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Italian Camo", within the upcoming year.

The “Italian Camo” Kobes, which debuted in June 2011, introduced one of many covert finishes to Bryant’s sixth signature shoe.

The original design showcased a color scheme inspired by the uniforms of the Italian military, incorporating shades of “Multi-Color,” “Crimson,” “Black,” and “White.” While the Kobe 6 Protro pays homage to the country he once called home, it is rumored to offer a slightly altered arrangement of “Black/Crimson Bog/Khaki,” potentially resulting in a distinct “Italian Camo” iteration. Despite the slight variation, the announcement of another Kobe 6 Protro has been enthusiastically embraced by numerous online users, suggesting that Donahoe’s promise is on track to be fulfilled.
